Welcome to Fight the Fire, another bucketful of pixels being frantically tossed at the raging Trumpster inferno.
We’re here to add our dissent to the Trump administration and all it represents, partly because it makes us feel better to say something than it does to sit on the sidelines, silently acquiescing to the assault on a democracy and a country we’re rather fond of, all things considered.
We don’t hold much hope of changing many minds here. But we’ll be pleased if we help readers who agree with us strengthen their resolve to not give up. And we’ll be delighted if we prompt a few MAGA-hatted readers to say, “Hmm. I didn’t think of it that way.”
In addition to watching the arsonous Trump administration, we’ll write about other current events, cultural trends and other matters. And because there’s much more to life than government (and Donald Trump, despite his insistence otherwise), we’ll also write about things that have no news hook at all. It’s important – and healthier – to step away from the chaos occasionally and take a dandelion break.
